Over Thanksgiving, our little Southern Californian family headed to the Midwest to visit the in-laws. The weather was a bit of a change from San Diego as it was 20 degrees on the day we go there! Brrrrr!!!
We had a bit of a challenge getting out there, as you might have read :), but once we were finally there, we weren’t going to let the cold get us down. We broke out the jackets (which was their own checked bag on the plane) and out to walk and play at the park. It was fun experiencing weather that we don’t have where we live.
We would spend some time outside at the park or climbing trees, then it was equally fun coming in to the warm house and warming our insides with hot cocoa.
What we weren’t prepared for was the change in weather was going to do to our skin. The lack of humidity in the air definitely caused some dry, cracked and chapped cheeks and hands. Thankfully, we came prepared with our Aquaphor Healing Ointment.
I have to say that I happen to use it the most frequently at home on my feet and hands. So when the kids came in with chapped cheeks, I was glad I had some with me as I rubbed it on them and it was healed in no time. Who doesn’t love that?
