Just a few days ago, I had the opportunity to chat with Nancy Fuller from Food Network Farmhouse Rules about her upcoming third season. So much fun chatting away about food and family. Have you had a chance to see her show on Food Network yet? If you haven’t, you really should. I enjoy her cooking because it follows all the same principals as Made with HAPPY. Simple and delicious. Nobody has time to be slaving in the kitchen for hours.
We chatted about the farm to fork movement that’s Oh So Trendy right now. She of course, living on a farm, has been living that lifestyle her entire life. We spoke about the importance of teaching children about their food and how fresh is best. All the things we all know, but just fun to hear it from a mother and grandmother who is at the forefront (a cooking show). I also asked her about how she keeps up with the trendy foods. She says that she learns about them just as we do and starts to use them in her recipes. P.S. She likes chia seeds in her morning yogurt too 🙂 I seriously could eat that all day long.
Other fun questions that were asked including if you were only allowed one meal a day for the rest of your life, what would it be. Her answer was as mine would be. BREAKFAST! yummmmm!!!!
The first episode of the third season of Farmhouse Rules airs this Sunday, September 14th at 12:30PM ET on Food Network.
I got a sneak peak into a list of episode for this season and I’m super excited to see the second episode, “School Garden” on September 21st.
As I’ve shared with you all, Made with HAPPY Girl started Kindergarten a few weeks ago. Now that we are getting into the swing of school, I’ve volunteered for a few different things at her school including the garden. Yep, I’m a garden mom. Shhh… let’s not mention how my garden needs more than a little help. In any case, I’m excited to see the episode where they are helping their local school garden and even more excited to see the recipes. How fabulous does the corn on the cob with herb butter look? DELICIOUS!!!! Oh man, I’m hungry now.
Such a fun interview with Nancy. If you’re a Food Network Junkie like me, then I know you’re excited about the new season too. Simple and Delicious!
