It is Friday before a three day weekend. Are you able to get out of dodge? Are you like us and three day weekends = a family getaway?
I am remembering last year when we went up to the local mountains for Parker’s 1st snow adventure. We had so much fun snowboarding, Sydney and I made snowballs, and we took this fun picture!
Just to make it clear, I was not making them sled, rather just sit in the sled. Both were very excited for the photo opportunity, clearly. I repeat, no kids were harmed in the taking of this picture! =)
This year we are staying close to home this three day weekend. While I attempt to re-organize the house I had a few thoughts rolling through my head this week and I figured I would share:
1.) Running, I used to love it. I used to hit the open road and think, I could run for hours. Now I hit the pavement and think. “Do you think miraculously a mile got shorter this morning?”
2.) Flannel sheets – I LOVE our flannel sheets so much. I actually get giddy when I go to bed and they are on, but why on earth are they the most hideously looking sheets around. Seriously? Have you ever seen a cute flannel sheet? I bet not!
3.) How cute is this girl? I mean really!!!
4.) What is it about boys and wanting to hit things. DNH Boy runs to pick things up and all he wants to do is hit the crap out of it. Weird!
5.) I wrote a post about Kate Middleton’s Pregnancy Cape she was spotted wearing over at SSM and now I can’t get that freaking grey one out of my mind… I think I need it!
6.) In less than a week I am going to Montana where it is barely above 1 degree… ummm, I live in San Diego where the coldest it gets is 50 and we declare it a snow day. I have nothing to wear… where do I start?
7.) Been thinking about eye cream. Maybe its the GIGANTIC crows feet hanging off the side of my eyes, but looking to try something new. Recommendations?
That’s all I have for now. Have the best three day weekend! I hope you and yours get out of town and experience something new and have all the best adventures. We are going to attempt that ourselves. Ciao for now!
