The holiday season is upon us already? How did that happen?
Time is just flying by these days!! I blame it on the late Thanksgiving holiday. It was so late in November this year. At our house, we don’t start decorating Christmas until Thanksgiving is over, and not being home for Thanksgiving gave us even more of a late start. Oh boy, snowball effect happening. (all pun intended) =)
If I had the chance to have 25% more of something this holiday season, I would love some more time. 25% more time would make a pretty big impact for me! We’re only a few weeks away from Christmas already and then just a few days after that its our sweet girl’s 5th birthday. I would just love a little more time to soak it all in and enjoy the holiday and enjoy my family. I absolutely love shopping for the perfect present for each of my family members and having hot cocoa every night. Okay, confession, we’ve had a lot of hot cocoa already. I also love all the holiday activities like tree lightings, holiday parties, ice skating, cookie making and snuggling by the fire place. What are your favorite activities during holidays?
With this late start, this past weekend I started to feel like one of those cartoon characters that’s running full speed, but are still in the same place. Realizing I was only putting this pressure on myself, I decided to let it go and it was time to start soaking up what time we do have. We even went to a local tree lighting ceremony where they had snow (soap suds) and bubble. I know us Southern Californians have to make pretend snow
How fun huh? DNH Boy loved how it tickled his nose.
