Happy October, my friends! This month’s bag was so adorable!! I loved the design and colors! Inside, I received a full size eyeliner and lip balm, and sample sizes of foundation, lipstick, and a face mask. I was pretty happy with each product from this month’s glam bag. Find out my favorites and why…
Noyah Natural Lipstick $18 – I was actually really surprised to find that I liked this shade on me. I thought it would be too purple and too out there but it actually turned out pretty nice! It does have that strong lipstick scent but I can look past it. The formula is really creamy and glides on the lips smoothly. As far as longevity, this lipstick packs a punch! Even though it’s very creamy, it still lasted the majority of the day on my lips. Once I ate, it pretty much came right off but other than that it stays on pretty well.
Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation $43 – First off, let me just say that IPSY is usually always right on point when it comes to skin tone shades for me. I do own this foundation in the stick form and I love it but I’ve always wanted to try the liquid so I was excited to see it in my glam bag! The shades are the same for both the stick and the liquid foundations. IPSY sent me my EXACT shade!! That was probably what I was most excited about seeing, honestly. I could not believe it. As far as formula, it is obviously very similar to the stick one that I already know and love. It gives the skin medium to full coverage but it isn’t totally matte. I have oily skin, so I usually stick to matte foundations but I really like this one because it makes me look almost luminous without looking oily. As far as staying power, BLAH BLAH BLAH…….. I do feel that it is a bit more buildable than the stick form and a lot easier to blend out.
Pur Dirty Girl Detoxifying Mudd Masque with Pascalite Clay $29 – Holy tightening!! I could feel this mask working literally the second that I started applying it to my face. My skin got extremely tight (tighter than it ever has with a mask) and I could just feel the toxins being pulled from my skin. It felt amazing at first but about halfway through, it started to get itchy. I left it on for about 15 minutes because by that point, my face was really itchy and I honestly just wanted to get the product off my face. Once removed, my skin did appear cleaner, especially my pores. I do think that this product does a good job of deep cleaning and detoxifying the skin however, I’m not sure if I would use it again because of the itchiness. The tube recommends leaving it on for 5-20 minutes, but I personally recommend no longer than 10.
Ciate London Chisel Liner High Definition Tip Eyeliner $20 -As mentioned before, I don’t really use eyeliner too often, I prefer to use eyeshadow on an angled brush but I did test this one out for the purpose of this post and I found that it was very, very black and easy to apply. The felt tip made it simple to get that wing that most liquid liners are used for.
Preventive Measures 101 After Hours Lip Balm $13 – Love the smell of this!! It’s very creamy and moisturizing and actually pretty glossy. It makes me lips extremely soft but because it is so creamy, I find that it gets in my mouth whenever I apply it. The smell is great but I don’t really want to taste my chapstick. I do really love that I don’t need to reapply this too often (about every 4-5 hours which is amazing).
That’s it for this month’s glam bag, I hope you enjoyed! Happy HALLOWEEN!!
