Alright, so we’ve lived in our house for about seven years now, and from the moment we moved in, I have had talked about putting a round table in the room right as you walk in our entry. And anyone that knows when you buy a “fixer-upper” house, there are hundreds of things on your list, and a nice to have always comes after a need to have. Right?
Of course the next NEED to have is the flooring and well since that is a MASSIVE in the $$ department, I start to turn my eyes to smaller maybe more nice to have items… LIKE THE ROUND TABLE. In any case, we have the best consignment furniture store close to our house and I like to stroll through there every couple of weeks looking for a deal. This is where I bought my craft table and I’m pretty obsessed with this place. About a month ago, I’m strolling through when I spy this green round table for $50.
Well hello there beauty! Yep, you are coming home with me. Purchasing another table was just what I needed to get my butt in gear to list our current (square) table on craig’s list. it only took a few days and my $50 was recouped with the sale of the old table. Whoop.
Alright, so its home and now its time to figure out if the green could work or if it needed to change. There is a lot of different colors going on in there, I know. Don’t mind the chairs, they were sold with the old table.
After about a month, I finally decided on a color and it wasn’t the green. You know I love color, but there really is just TOOOOOO MUCH going on in this room. The rug was a recent purchase from Rugs USA and ended up being a lot brighter than I thought. So adding yet another color to an already busy room was a no go. Armed with a birthday gift certificate from my one of my fav’s, I headed down picked out a new color. Time to prep.
A once over with some spray primer, then it was time to paint. Actually only took less than an hour to paint!
The new color is subtly different, but enough to make a big change.
Still working on picking out chairs and changing up this room a bit, but here is the new table, painted in the entry. What do you think?
