Equipment

  • sharp chef’s knife

Ingredients

  • 9-18 corks depending on condition
  • paint
  • sprinkle glitter or glitter glue
  • hot glue gun
  • tacky glue
  • ribbon
  • toothpick
  • screw eye hooks

Instructions

  • Cut corks in half (you’ll need 18 total so look for the best ones once they’re cut.)
  • Paint tops and add glitter.
  • Once dry, use hot glue gun and six cork halves to make center of snowflake. (Use a seventh as a place holder for the middle, then pop out once the six are all glued).
  • Add two more corks to each point where two meet.
  • Next use tacky glue and a toothpick to adhere ribbon to perimeter. The toothpick trick really helps get the ribbon in the tight grooves.
  • Add and eye hook to top and finish off with a ribbon for hanging. We loved experimenting with all different colors and combinations. Happy crafting!
