The first step is to draw a square. Draw a straight vertical line on the right and then the left. Then two horizontal lines that are all the same length.

The next step is to draw a second square, the back face of the cube, up and to the right. This left side of the second square should be drawn through the center of the top of the front square and the bottom line should be drawn through the middle of the right side of the front face square.

The next step is to draw the right face of the cube. This is done with two diagonal lines drawn from the top right corner of the front face to the top right corner of the back face. Next is to draw a line connecting the right bottom corners.

The last two lines are the top and bottom lines of the left side face. These lines should give you diamond shapes for the top face and bottom face.

The final step is to erase the dotted lines of your drawn cube. From here I like to go over our hard pencil lines with a black marker. If you are looking for more of a 3 D effect, then another option is to make the dotted lines different colors than the solid lines.
