Start with the head of the duck. Draw a large oval to start. We like to bring the top of the head in slightly at the cheeks.
The next step is to draw two curved lines arching outwards from the bottom of the duck's head right around where you think the duck's neck should be. This is the start of the duck's wings. The inside of the duck's wings should be another curved line going back up to the head, but stopping before getting all the way up to the head. Then draw a few lines along the wing to resemble feathers.
Draw a small curved line from the tip of one wing to the other finishing off the full oval shape of its body. Draw a small irregular shape on the top of the duck's head for the duck's hair.
For the duck's feed draw two small rectangle shapes of the bottom of the duck's body. And instead of having squared-off ends, draw a wavy line to give the allusion to webbed duck feet.
Draw a small circle for each duck's eye. Draw two eyes. For the duck's beak, draw a horizontal line in the middle of the duck's face. Above the line, draw a small curved mountain shape. Add two smaller circles in the middle of the top of the beak as the nostrils (nose holes). For the bottom of the beak, draw a small curved shape slightly smaller than the horizontal line of the mouth.
Once you have your easy duck drawing exactly how you want it, the final step is tracing over all your lines with a sharp pencil and even outlining it all with a black marker!
The final step if you choose to is to use markers, crayons, colored pencils, or paints and turn your drawing lesson into the cutest dog drawing!
