How To Make A Paper Football

It is football season and we are combining our love of paper and fun kids activities and sharing this age-old fun on how to make a paper football and goal.

  • brown paper
  • 1 paper cup I used green
  • 3 bending straws
  • tape

Instructions

  • How to Make Paper Football
  • Start with a brown piece of paper.

  • Fold the paper in half lengthwise.

  • Fold the paper in half again lengthwise. The width should now be a fourth of the size of the piece of paper.

  • Start on either the left side or right side of the paper. We are starting from the right side of the paper. Fold the bottom right corner up to the lineup with the top of the sheet of paper creating a triangle.

  • Fold the tip of the triangle in the top right corner over towards the paper.

  • Then fold the top right corner of the triangle down towards the bottom left corner along the fold along the long hypotenuse side of the triangle.

  • Continue folding making your way down the paper until you do not have enough paper for a full fold.
    Once at the end of folded paper
  • Take the top left corner of the extra paper and fold a triangle (small) towards your large triangle shape.

  • Then using your index finger or thumb fold the small extra paper tail into the open fold of the paper triangle.

  • Viola, you have a paper football. Line

  • How to Make a Football Field Goal
  • Simply tape the two bending straws together in the middle to create the U shape. Using a pair of scissors, cut a small hole in the bottom of the cup and stick the non-bending end of the third straw into the hole, and tape it into place. Last, bend the end of the third straw around the bottom middle of the U-shaped straws and tape it in place.
