  • First thing you will want to do, is to remove the hair from the nutcrackers. Whether its the beard or hair on their head.

  • The hair is typically hot glued on, so if you can not just pull it off, you will want to use an X-acto knife. The key is to make sure all hair is removed.

  • From there, you pick your favorite spray paint colors.

  • Spray each of the nutcrackers one side at a time.

  • They each may take a few coats each. Between the crowns and the handles, there are parts that are important to cover.

  • Spray each of the nutcrackers in all the spray paint

  • If you do not have spray paint, you can certainly use acrylic paint and paint each of the nutcrackers.

  • The key is to make sure that your nutcracker is completely painted head to toe.

  • I like the idea of displaying the rainbow nutcrackers all together. You can certainly add a string to the top and make them into ornaments or other holiday decor.
