First thing you will want to do, is to remove the hair from the nutcrackers. Whether its the beard or hair on their head.
The hair is typically hot glued on, so if you can not just pull it off, you will want to use an X-acto knife. The key is to make sure all hair is removed.
From there, you pick your favorite spray paint colors.
Spray each of the nutcrackers one side at a time.
They each may take a few coats each. Between the crowns and the handles, there are parts that are important to cover.
Spray each of the nutcrackers in all the spray paint
If you do not have spray paint, you can certainly use acrylic paint and paint each of the nutcrackers.
The key is to make sure that your nutcracker is completely painted head to toe.
I like the idea of displaying the rainbow nutcrackers all together. You can certainly add a string to the top and make them into ornaments or other holiday decor.
