Handprint Sunflower

Instructions

  • Have your child trace their hands on yellow construction paper. You will need six handprints.

  • Print the sunflower template at the bottom of the post for the leaves, stem, and sunflower center. In case you need hands, you can also use our hand templates.

  • Cut out the hands in yellow construction paper, the sunflower's center in brown construction paper, and then the leaves and stem out of green construction paper.

  • Place glue on the thumb of one of the right hands.

  • Glue one of the left hands slightly overlapping the right hand with glue.

  • Continue gluing the hands around into a full circle.

  • Glue the circle brown circle in the middle of the hands.

  • Glue the stem to the back of the sunflower head

  • Grab your green leaves.

  • Fold the leaves the long way in half.

  • Begin to fold the leaf end up.

  • Accordion fold the leaves while still middle folded.

  • Unfold the leaves.

  • Glue the leaves to the sunflower stems.

  • Viola, you have a handprint sunflower craft!
