Start by cutting the paper plate in half.
Trace the half paper plate out of the green paper and cut it out.
Glue the green paper to one side of the paper plate
Note that if scissor skills are a challenge, or if your older kids would like to cover the paper plate with green paint, that works too.
Cut two half arches out of the other half of the paper plate.
Cut a half circle out of the black paper and then slightly smaller than the white half arches for the eyes
Glue the black part of the eyes to the white part of the eyes.
For the pipe cleaner portion of the craft, we used a hot glue gun. You can also use craft glue to attach the pipe cleaner to the outline of each of the eyes.
Using the scissors, cut off any excess pipe cleaner.
Next, glue the frog's mouth to the middle of the green frog's body.
Grab one or two of the red pipe cleaners.
Glue the pipe cleaner to the outside of the mouth. Depending on the size, you may need a portion of a second pipe cleaner.
The next step is to attach the frog eyes to the paper plate body. Glue them to the top of the paper plate.
For the Frog's tongue, fold one red pipe cleaner in half and then bend it into a sort of S shape.
The last step is to glue the tongue to the middle of the frog's mouth. Glue the ends of the pipe cleaner to the mouth, so the end of the tongue is the folded side.
Viola, all the frog pieces create the perfect preschool frog craft.
