Start by downloading the shark template that you grab at the bottom of the post.
Cut out each of the items from the template.
Trace the small V shapes out of black paper, the smile shape out of red paper, and the fins on blue paper.
The eyes and the smile with teeth can remain on the white template paper. A hint to cut the inside of the teeth out is to poke the end of the scissors through the middle of the section you want to cut out and then cut towards the edges and along the line of the template.
Start by grabbing the paper plate, the large blue piece, the red smile, the teeth, and the glue.
Glue the blue "shades to the top of the paper plate. Glue the teeth on top of the red smile, and then glue both to the bottom of the paper plate.
Next, grab the fins and the black v's, and the glue.
Glue the black pieces to the end of the fins.
Grab all the different parts of the shark to assemble the shark.
Glue the fins to the back of the paper plate shark's face. The shark's dorsal fin (top fin) is glued to the top part of the back of the shark. The two pectoral fins (bottom fins) can go to each side of the bottom of the shark's face. Last, glue the tail off the back and to the left of the paper plate.
Next, you can draw the eyes on the two shark eye templates. Or if you have googly eyes, you can glue those on there.
Glue the eyes onto the shark's face.
The last step is to draw two small lines in the nose area as nostrils.
Viola, you have an awesome Paper Plate Shark!
