Anyone that knows me, or has been following my posts probably realizes by now that my life is not short on dull moments or funny ones for that matter.

In keeping up with this nuttiness I like to call life, I have a short story to share from last night. It was a typical night of getting off of work, picking up my peanut and heading home. Once we were home, clothes are changed, dog is hugged, I walk into the living room.

A few side notes relevant to the story:
    - The three of us have been fighting some nasty colds and lets just say the house cleaning has been a bit neglected.
    - My daughter who has really never watched much television for the first two years of her life has discovered the movie Shrek 2. Probably could write a whole post on this one, but lets just say she's OBSESSED with watching it. We've been letting her watch it maybe once a week recently.

So, I walk into the living room and am greeted by my precious daughter holding Shrek asking to watch it. Noticing the living room is an absolute disaster, I discovered one of my first parenting tricks. I told her, if you help me clean this living room, I will let you watch Shrek. I'm sure I'm not winning any parenting awards for this one, but guess what? IT WORKED! She totally helped me clean. We picked everything up and put everything away and I was feeling pretty good about my new found bargaining chip. I then proceed to put in Shrek and all is happy in our house. I go in the kitchen to start dinner and about 10 minutes later walk back into the living room to talk to Syd about something. In there, she's diligently watching Shrek and our lover dog Caddie girl is laying next to her. In the middle of the floor... that I had just cleaned... was an egg.

At first I thought, hmmm what is that? Maybe one of the fake eggs from the fake groceries Syd got with her shopping cart for her birthday. In any case, how did it get out here when we just cleaned. I reach down to pick it up and guess what? ITS A REAL EGG! NOT COOKED, NOT CRACKED, but a real flipping egg! HOW THE HECK DID THAT GET IN THERE.
I of course go over to the 2 year old that is still not the best of communicators to ask and she's looking at me like I'm nuts. I look at the dog and again get a look of "you're nuts". Can someone please tell me how, an egg, that is typically in the refrigerator gets out of the refrigerator and into our living room floor?

See... Nothing short of nuttiness around here! Forever will be the Egg Mystery of 2011!
