Last weekend DNH Girl had her first dance recital! Ahhhhh....
First off, let's rewind to the week prior. As the event got closer, I began to panic. Do I really have to put make-up on my baby? I don't know why, but I have strong feelings against having any mascara or eye makeup on my baby. I'M NOT READY!!! The night before, in distress, I call my dearest friend who was not only a dancer herself, but a make-up artist trying to figure out what I should do. She assured me lip gloss and some blush was plenty. **Sigh** Thank Goodness. I can deal with that!
The morning of, we start to get ready, and it hits me! My baby is growing up and I can't stop it. Bring on the tears, yep here comes the ugly cry. I go into the bathroom by myself and have a moment. I mean, get it together girl! My husband, realizing whats happening, without saying a word gives me the buck up shoulder tap. I take a deep breath and pull myself back together. WHY do they have to grow up again?

Outfits on, hair is slicked as best we could after Scissor Night 2013. Blush and lip gloss is applied. We're ready! Off we go!
There is something so cute about little ones shaking their tail feathers on stage that just warms the heart! Such a fun performance and DNH Girl did great!
There was a part where they were all supposed to walk in a line and our little girl came to the front of the stage and waved to everyone which of course made everyone giggle and smile ear to ear. I love her so much and am so proud of her for getting up there and doing her best.
It was also fun watching her brother watch her on stage. He was so enthralled with his big sister and danced along with her. So freaking cute!
We are so proud of this little girl. We treasure and love you so much and enjoy every minute of watching you grow. Slow down already!
