For Easter brunch I was in charge of bringing veggies and fruit. Wanting to spice up something you might have on a normal basis, I decided on the three different colored asparagus and then for the fruit, I remember seeing these awesome Strawberry Shortcake Appetizers over Somewhat Simple and so I went and made my own version...
Strawberry Shortcake Skewers
They were simple to put together (AWESOME) and the guest were all pretty impressed at their beauty. Definitely going on the list for future parties! Hop over to their site to get the full run down on the ingredients and recipe. I did however make a few adjustments to their recipe.
1.) I used a heart shaped cookie cutter to cut out the biscuits. Cute and never bad to add a little LOVE to a recipe. 🙂
2.) The filling I simply mixing together an 8oz container of cool whip and 2 strawberry yogurts. Gives it a little more flavor that is so delicious, your guest will be begging for more!
Once the biscuits are cooked its just a matter of assembly. Easy Peezy!!! Here's my visual step by step of the process.Happy Baking and Happy Parties!
