Start by printing out the letter D from the template and cutting it out. If your template piece of paper is sturdy enough, then use that for the base. Otherwise, you can trace the D onto another white sheet of paper or even a paper plate.

Next, trace the other simple shapes of the template onto the black paper.

The balloon shape will be the dog's ear and the other cloud shapes will be the the dog's spots.

Glue the dog's ear off the back of the letter D and the spots around the D shape.

Next, cut out a small circle for the nose and a small circle for behind the eye. Grab your black marker and add a smile and some small spots near the smile to represent the whiskers.

The last step is to glue the googly eye on top of the eye circle and viola a D-Dog!
