Today we're showing you all a super simple way to spruce up your house for Valentines Day for just a few dollars.
I have two kids (5 years and 2 years) and they just love it when we decorate for each of the holidays. With the exception of Christmas and Halloween (where we have all our decorations stored in a large container in the garage) I get hesitant to collect a house full of decoration with limited space and storage for it all year long.
The solution? We limit the seasonal holiday decorations (like Valentines Day or Fourth of July) to just one prominent spot in the house. It could be one book case or like in our house, the mantle.
This year, we hit the dollar store and the dollar bins at some of our favorite stores and found a few festive items. We decided pretty quickly that it needed a little more and pizzazz and so we decided to make a garland.
Super simple, super inexpensive, but yet SUPER FESTIVE.
The best part is that you can find all the supplies at your local dollar store.

First, grab a bag or two of pom poms.Second, you'll need some twine or thread and a needle large enough to hold the twine.Simply thread each of the pom poms onto the thread in a given pattern.I find it easier to hang the garland if you tie the ends into a loop. Once you've strung the pom poms onto the thread at your desired length you have yourself the most festive Valentines pom pom garland.
With only spending a few dollars, after the holiday you can either easily store the few items you purchased away or not feel guilty for tossing it out. Win Win for Mom!
