Grab the free printable template at the bottom of the post and cut out each of the template pieces.
Using a marker or pencil, outline each template on different colored paper.
Cut each of your pieces including.
For the light green piece of paper, the easiest way to make it into a cone is to take the top to corners and fold them over each other so that the top of the cone is in the middle of the top of the piece of paper. This should create a large triangle.
Once you have it in a cone shape, tape or glue the ends down. There will be a V shape at the back of the cone. Push the paper together at that point, you should cut the bottom of the cone straight across at the top of the V and that will allow the cone to stand up straight.
Next, you are going to glue the large brown piece a third of the way down the cone. This will eventually b the elf's face.
The next step is to glue the dark green piece (the elf's hat) to the top of the brown piece of paper. And glue the white collar to the bottom of the brown piece.
Glue the yellow piece belt buckle to the middle of the long strip of black paper to create the elf's belt.
Glue the belt to the elf right below the white collar. Then glue each of the elf ears to the back of the cone. Remember elves have pointy ears, so make sure they are pointing up.
This cute little elf has googly eyes. Glue them towards the top of the brown paper.
Using a marker, draw a simple smile for Santa's little helpers.
Last, but not least, glue a pom pom to the top of the elf hat. This can be any color, but we went for red!
