Today we’re each sharing a Holiday Recipe. I’m sharing a delicious and tasty appetizer that will sure to be a crowd pleaser.
Bacon Wrapped Dates
- 12 Pitted Dates (I prefer Medjool)
- 1/2 Pound Chorizo
- Garlic & Herb Goat Cheese
- 6 Piece of Peppered Bacon – cut in half
- 1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
- 1 Tablespoon Milk
Pre-Heat oven to 400 degrees. Slice the dates in half.
In a small bowl whisk together the powdered sugar and milk and set aside.
Spoon into the sliced date approximately a teaspoon of goat cheese. In a small skillet, cook up the chorizo. Add a small amount of chorizo to the date and press together together.Wrap the bacon around the date and using a toothpick, to hold together.Place on baking sheet and into the oven. Roast for approximately 15-20 minutes until the bacon is golden and crispy. Brush on the glaze to each of the dates and then back into the oven for 1-2 minutes until they are ooey gooey yumminess. Transfer to serving dish. They are decedant, delicious and can be made in a jiffy! Holiday Recipes Made Easy! Here are some of the other tasty recipes from my friends.
