We had this DIY Cancer Survivor Blanket made for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last week, you’re should be aware that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It is unbelievable to me, that with all the incredibly smart scientist in the world and technology, that we have not found a cure and the statistics for this disease are increasing. It is absolutely shocking to me how young girls (and boys) are getting it too. NOT OK!
I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for it(CANCER) to be done. Let’s beat this thing. Its claimed far too many people so far and its time to get rid of it! Here is a link to some ways you can help with fight. It can be as easy as donating the $ you use for your morning coffee. Or volunteer for an upcoming event. Every little thing helps! As a mother to the most perfect little girl in the world, I pray every day that by the time she is my age this disease will be long gone and not something she will ever have to worry about!
Okay…tears wiped away… I’m back. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and my big walk coming up next month, I got a surprise from the most incredibly supportive, wonderful, compassionate man I know, my husband!!! A friend of ours, who is walking with me in November, makes these beautiful quilts to raise money for her walk, and came to Craig asking if he would like to her to make me one. Well you can only imagine to my surprise when I opened this!!!
Its fills my heart with so much every time I look at it! I will be walking next month in SUPPORT of my best friend and CANCER SURVIVOR Jen! I love you friend!
