We are bringing attention to Breast Cancer Awareness Month and showcasing a beautiful DIY Cancer Survivor Blanket that was made.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month. DIY Cancer Survivor Blanket

We had this DIY Cancer Survivor Blanket made for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Unless you've been living under a rock for the last week, you're should be aware that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It is unbelievable to me, that with all the incredibly smart scientists in the world and technology, that we have not found a cure and the statistics for this disease are increasing. It is absolutely shocking to me how young girls (and boys) are getting it too. NOT OK!

It is time for CANCER to be done. Let's beat this thing.

It has claimed the lives of too many people.

Here is a link to some ways you can help with the fight. It can be as easy as donating the $ you use for your morning coffee. Or volunteer for an upcoming event. Every little thing helps! I pray every day that by the time my daughter is my age, this disease is gone and not something she will ever have to worry about!

Enough of the tears, and I am back. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and my big walk coming up next month, I got a surprise from the most incredibly supportive, wonderful, compassionate man I know, my husband!!!

    DIY Cancer Survivor Blanket

A friend of ours, who is walking with me in November,  makes these beautiful quilts to raise money for her walk and came to Craig asking if he would like her to make me one. Well, you can only imagine my surprise when I opened this!!!

Included were pictures of my daughter.

Included was also one of my t-shirts. This shirt was made for when she beat breast cancer the first time.

Pictures of the two of us with my daughter.

It fills my heart with so much every time I look at it! I will be walking next month in SUPPORT of my best friend and CANCER SURVIVOR Jen! I love you, friend!
