This town I live in never ceases to amaze me. Last night the hubs and I attended an event called Diner en Blanc. All I can say is that it was AMAZING!
In just a couple of days we will be celebrating our 8 year anniversary and so why not celebrate a few days early with a thousand of our beautiful city's neighbors.

Its a pop-up picnic dinner where guest wear all white.
We arrive at a public meeting place with our table, chairs, and picnic dinner wearing all white of course. Doesn't my groom look so dapper??? Then its onto buses where we are taken to a secret location.
This year we were taken to a beautiful grassy area on the Naval Training Center (Liberty Station). The people arrived and began to fill in this whole space in the matter of 20 minutes.
Tables are popped up and set.
Fine china of course! Seeing as this was our first year, we didn't have much in terms of tablescape, but next year we are on it! Some tables went all out in their setup!

We even met up with great friends.
The waving of the napkin both starts and ends dinner.
I can't express how much fun we had. If it comes to a city near you, I highly recommend getting on the list to go. Definitely something we will be attending in years to come!
