Just this week, The Home Depot on Genesee, here in San Diego had its Grand Re-opening showcasing the new improvements they've made to store.
Immediately when you walk in the store, you are greeted by the new layout and feel of Home Depot!
The store is filled with large bold and bright graphics that draw you into each department.
The aisles are much wider, and laid out in such a way to make it easy to find what you are looking for!
Hey look at me and all this lumber... What am I going to make next??
They were hosting a workshop that evening. A DIH {Do-it Herself} Workshop! Empowering Women!!! I can't even express how much I love that!
We watched and learned pointers and proper uses for a miter saw, jigsaw and drill. Girls using power tools!!! So much women awesomeness happening!!! We learned how to build an Adirondack Chair which was really fun and perfect for Summer!
Guess who got to go home with the chair that was made??? ME!!!! YAY!! Awesomeness continues!
Diapers-n-Heels Mom Amanda and I participated in some other fun activities after the workshop, like a scavenger hunt around the store utilizing The Home Depot App as well as a fun photo booth they had set up! We like to think we walked the proverbial orange carpet in our fancy picture above! How cute are those DIY girls??
Overall it was a great event and excited for you all to see the great things happening at Home Depot. If you're in San Diego, I highly recommend you go check out the newly reopened Home Depot Genesee now features a 40,000 square foot Outdoor Garden Center, larger kitchen and appliance showrooms, a mill-work showroom, an improved Pro-Desk and expanded tool rental. For those not in San Diego, check your local Home Depot for monthly workshops including more DIH{Do-it Herself} as well as ones for kids and families.
