When your name is Birdie Rainbow, it's important that you are always smiling and living one great big colorful HAPPY life every day!
There are many reasons why our sweet Birdie Rainbow Sparkle Star Ward is smiling these days, but I thought I'd break it down in the case you are looking to make sure your dog is smiling too!
The first reason is that she is an 11-month-old puppy. I don't know about your interaction with puppies, but all puppies I know are SUPER HAPPY! Also, she is an 11-month-old puppy that lives in San Diego. The weather is never too hot or too cold, or too wet or too dry. Just right! Birdie girl basically wakes up the HAPPIEST pup on the block. She is full of energy and excitement and absolutely LOVES her tiny humans and can't wait to see their eyelids open each morning. She greets them with lots of kisses and snuggles. The minute they get up out of bed, it's all about playing, chasing and trying to see how many belly rubs she can get before they head out the door wearing those backpacks. Then, it's patiently waiting at the window looking out (with a few naps in between) till they get home and she can do it all again.
The second reason she is smiling, is that she has most likely found another super tasty shoe to chew on. Yes, that sweet smile loves (mostly mama's shoes) and is super sneaky and finds different ways to find those leather dreams. **Insert errrrrr from Mom! She is a chewer. Shoes, toys, stuffed animals, sticks, books, furniture and man I can't wait till we're out of this phase.
Third reason she's smiling is because of the dog park. Our last dog only liked the dog park because it was a place to chase a ball back and forth for hours. NOT BIRDIE RAINBOW. This girl loves the dog park because she is the ultimate social butterfly. She loves every single dog at the dog park. She loves playing with them. Running all around chasing and wrestling with them. She loves sniffing and getting sniffed. Birdie Rainbow is the socialite of dog park and loves having as many friends as possible.
Lastly, she is smiling because she loves that we are feeding her the good stuff. We have bought Nature's Recipe since she was an itty-bitty pup. She absolutely LOVES her food. She enjoys the dry food varieties, but absolutely ADORES the wet food.
Nature's Recipe is made up of high quality protein and many of the foods are grain-free. Which makes me super HAPPY. They contain no artificial preservatives, no corn, wheat or soy, and no poultry by-products. None of the yucky stuff, and only natural ingredients with added vitamins, minerals and nutrients which is what Birdie needs to feel her vibrant self, each and every day!
It used to be that at our house, every couple of weeks, we would make an extra trip to the specialty pet store to buy Birdie's food. Not super convenient and out of the way from other shopping. I'm HAPPY to report that we're smiling because you can now buy Nature's Recipe at Walmart! Which is super convenient and where we're already shopping.
Like the other members of the family, it is important to us that our dog is raised HAPPY and healthy. Making sure they get enough exercise, sleep, and nutrition is key, but also remember they need to be loved!
