Create pizza perfection with our 'Make Your Own Pizza Party' guide. Tips, tricks, and topping ideas for a fun and delicious homemade pizza night!
We at the Made with HAPPY house happen to love having friends and family over for especially when it means a fun dinner party. Dinner parties are great because its typically a smaller group which to me means more in-depth conversation, more connection to your guest which means more HAPPY.
One our favorite HAPPY dinner parties themes is:
Make Your Own Pizza Party
This is the 3rd one we've hosted and every time, guest walk away asking when the next one is going to be.
We of course, like any dinner party, like to start the night with clean kitchen/cleared off "working" area. You're going to need one space for making pizza and one space for sitting down to eat.
Our pizza nights always end up turning it into a bit of a contest. At least for the adults, we like to add some friendly competition where at the end we taste everyone's pizza and decide on a the winner. :)Its fun to layout all kinds of different cheeses (mozarella, parmesan goat cheese) and meats(pepperoni, prosciutto salami...) and spreads(fig, pesto, pizza sauce). Its also fun to include veggies (mushrooms, arugula, onions, peppers, arichoke hearts...) and fruit(sliced pears, figs, apples). This then gives your guest the run at what they think is the perfect combination.
Our local grocer sells bags of premade dough that you can cut in half, and allow each person to create a personal size masterpiece. The kids absolutely LOVE this party. Lots of flour all over the place and there might have been lots of cheese tasting before it made it to the pizza dough. You may need to help the little little ones, but giving them free reign makes them all kinds of HAPPY.
We had one that didn't want sauce and the other that only wanted cheese. Into the oven they go.I'd like to say that with the adults there is less mess, but not so much. We talked about adding the "technique" of making pizzas part of the competition. Watch out for flying pizza dough. In the end you have lots of good food and lots of laughs. The best combination to a successful dinner party.

There does tend to be a bit of a mess at the end. But its a #HappiMess. The important thing to remember is that everything can be cleaned, thanks to the Delta 2.0 Touch, but the memories and HAPPY far outweigh the clean-up.
Why do people treat mess like it’s a bad thing? It’s actually the evidence of a life well lived. When you’re out there making, creating, doing and playing, embrace your #HappiMess and let Delta kitchen and bath innovations help clean up so you can do it all again tomorrow.
