GUEST POST: DNH Mom Shawna
Coming to theaters this Friday, January 17th, is the new 3D animated film, The Nut Job Movie. The Nut Job is an animated film centered around a mischievous squirrel , Surly(voiced by Will Arnett), who is banished from his park and is forced to the city where he and his rat friend, Buddy(voiced by Robert Tinkler) plan a nut heist. While they end up on quite the adventure, along they way they run into fellow critters from the park including Andie (voice of Kathrine Heigl).
It was a fun experience where myself and two other bloggers were able to sit down with Will and Kathrine to ask questions to them about their experiences with the film. They answered all kinds of questions from whether they prefer voiceover work or in-person acting to how having kids has changed their career. Both enjoyed voicing an animated film because it meant not having to be on location away from their family each day. As for how it has changed their career, both were similar in that they choose their films based on their family scheduling and how long they will be gone from their kids. It was quite apparent they are both dedicated parents and were excited for their kids to see the film.
Will, is ever the comedian even in person and didn’t take himself too seriously. He was candid in his answers about how much he loved being a dad and that of course makes us Moms happy.
Kathrine stated a few times about how her family were avid movie watchers and that she was excited to see how her little ones will react when they hear her voice on a character in the film.
