Hello friends! Happy Friday. Is it just me, or are these weeks going by FAST?? I can't believe its going to be summer here in just a few weeks. Do you already have your summer vacations planned? The hub has a few trips planned for himself, but we don't really have any family vacations planned. BUMMER!!! I think I need to get on that!
Regardless, of our travel plans, back home we are gearing up for summer full throttle. We've hit the pool every day for the past two weeks and I even busted out the water balloons for some family fun.

After filling a few balloons I had two sets of eyes looking on with full intrigue. "Mommy, what are those?"
Wait? We haven't shown you water balloons? Oh man, what kind of mom am I???
Ok, that was a bit dramatic, but sometimes my brain is 5 steps ahead of reality.
"Well babe, these are balloons are filled with water. You throw them and they break then the water comes out. Watch!!" -- As I throw one at our back wall and it splashes, I look over to see two of the biggest smiles I've ever seen. Oh yeah, they're hooked!
I've spent each of the last couple of days filling about 20-30 balloons at a time. They are loving throw them around and watching them splat.
This of course then got my brain churning to think of what else I could do with water balloons. The first thing that pops into my brain is the scene from The Princess Diaries where they are filled with paint and they throw them on a huge canvas. Although, I think that would be SO FLIPPING fun, I can't wrap my head around the mess on that one.
Then I remembered seeing these Toysmith balloon powered vehicles on YoYo.com.
Seriously, so fun. NEED some ASAP!
Well, why I wait for my balloon powered boats, helicopters, cars and rockets come in the mail, I hope you and yours are in Summer mode too. If not, this weekend is a perfect time to start! I hope you have the best weekend and I'll catch you next week.
