These loaded tater tot skewers are one of those appetizers that makes the most epic Superbowl food.

We love parties and especially ones where there are lots of different YUMMY foods served. Looking for a mouthwatering appetizer to bring to your Superbowl Party? We’re serving up these loaded tater tot skewers that are guaranteed hit with party goers!
Here’s how you make them.
Ingredients:

- Bag of Tater Tots
- 8 slices of cooked bacon, chopped
- 1 cup of cheese, grated
- 1 tablespoon ranch seasoning
- skewers
Directions:
Cook your tater tots according to directions until golden brown in color. Ours was in a 425 degree oven for 20-30 minutes.
Once you pull them out of the oven, let cool for approximately 2-5 minutes until you can skewer them onto the skewers. I suggest 6-7 per skewer.
Once on the skewers and on the pan, sprinkle ranch seasoning over each of tater tots. Then sprinkle the bacon and then the cheese. Into the oven for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is fully melted and golden in color.
Remove from oven and serve.
We love serving it with a sour cream ranch dip.
Simply add a tablespoon of ranch seasoning to an 8oz. container of sour cream and stir.
I’m telling you, your guest are going to go bonkers over these babies. I mean, there is BACON!

HAPPY GAME DAY!!!

Thank you so much! We are big fans of the tots, so there is no shame in bumping those babies up! 🙂
YUM! What a fun (and cleaner!) way to eat a favorite! Thanks for sharing!
Is there a link to a PDF/Printer Friendly version?
Hi Milena, I added a printable version to the bottom. Thanks!
Perfecto! I love this for game day! I’ll have to add these to the menu!
Mmm a great combination, I think my girls would really go for these.
Yum! I’m drooling right now! Pinned and tweeted! Thank you so much for sharing this with us at our linky party. We hope to see you next Monday @ 7 because we can’t wait to see your new creations! Happy Saturday! Lou Lou Girls
Im confused with ranch dressing vs ranch seasoning?
Ranch Seasoning comes in either a container like season salt or packets in the dressing aisle. Ranch Dressing is the white deliciousness. 🙂
These look so delicious and I can’t wait to have a party so I can make them!!! Thanks so much for sharing your recipe at Share The Wealth Sunday…I’ve chosen this as one of my features for the week! I hope you’ll come back and join us again tonight! xoxo
Thank you ☺ so when you said sprinkle dressing on the tots were you referring to the dressing or the powder? I appreciate your help!
Oh my goodness… I need to change that good catch. I meant spread the seasoning!
Thanks Alli! Lookong forward to making them today!
(Ps you may want to change the wording in the recipe part too. Its listed twice)
As if these aren’t easy enough… If I were to try to make them already skewered, would they not turn out?
In most cases, the tater tots are frozen through and so trying to skewer them before cooking is pretty difficult.
I’m guessing the bacon is to be cooked before hand?
Yes, cooked bacon. Thank you
What a genius idea; I love it!! Wow~! Thanks for sharing this with us on Throwback Thursday! Hope to see you next week!
Mollie
These are seriously awesome! I need to make and I will be making for sure! Love love love this! Thanks for sharing with us at Throwback Thursday, you’ll be featured at tonight’s party!

I made these Tater tot’s yesterday. My problem is the tater tot’s fell off the skewers, they did not stay on. They were delicious but I don’t think I would waste my time skewering them next time. Did anyone else have this problem or did I do something wrong?
Were they crispy? I think they definitely need to be on the crispier side for them to stay on the skewers better.
I made these again and baked them 18 minutes longer than the directions on the bag. It worked! Thank you for your suggestion.
Awesome! Yeah, they need to be crunchy in order to stay on the skewer!

Hi! I am making these for a couples shower this weekend. Do you think it would be okay to cook the tater tots the day before – and then do the rest of the steps the day of? Would they still turn out crunchy? I am trying to figure out how to do as much ahead of time as possible on these. Thanks! Can’t wait to try these!
Will these be good reheated?

HI took these to a chili cook off and won the side dish competition! Soon deeelish!!
That is so awesome!!! YAY for winning!!! Now I want a bowl of chili! 🙂
Love this idea and made last night for the World Series. Had trouble getting the cheese and bacon bits to stay on the tots. Still yummy, of course, but what did I do wrong? Thanks!
Hmm… maybe the bacon pieces were too big? I would say more cheese and smaller bacon pieces and then they will melt together and stick. What a world series it was, wasn’t it?
It was quite the night! Thanks for the reply. Will just have to try again til I get it right 🙂
I’m going tailgating soon! Have you ever grilled the tots? If so, how long? Wondering if it would turn out ok? Thanks for your help in advance!

Hi! Do you need to soak the skewers at all?
Yes. Soak your skewers if you can. If you didn’t, no worries, the tips of your skewers might just be a bit brown.
These are such a great idea! I love that the tater tots were made into a finger food!
Thanks. They are so yummy!!
i I made these even smaller. I used toothpicks and mini tater tots, 3 on each toothpick. Loved them, thanks for the recipe
