It should come as no surprise to anyone that I'm OBSESSED over garlands and banners. I love them for Holidays and Parties and pretty much any day of the year. If you've been following along over the last week, you may have heard that it was my birthday. YAY! Although we didn't have a big party for the event, I still felt like maybe there should be some fun Summery kind of decoration that could double as my birthday garland.
Another fun fact about me... that when I get a theme or something in my head in terms of crafting, I kind of don't want to stop until I've made all kinds of different goodies around it. About two months ago, I started dreaming about cute citrus wedges. I love the beauty in a slice of lemon or lime and may have even have scoped out a floating lemon slice for the pool.
In any case, I've been dying to make some citrus crafts and so what better than some fun garland for my birthday? Here's the quick and easy way to make these fun citrus garland for your next birthday, baby shower or just for fun Summer Garland!
Supplies:
- Fun bright paper
- White Vinyl
- Twine
- Hole Punch
Simply cut out circles with your handy dandy circle cutter.
Once you have your circles, cut them in half to make half moon slices.
I then cut the insides of the citrus with my silhouette using vinyl. I actually found the perfect template from the folks over at Paper Crave. Then you just start the sticking. Hole punch the ends and then string it up using the twine.
Viola, you have yourself the cutest citrus garland. Bright and Summery and I'm pretty sure I will be keeping it up all Summer long! Sure to brighten anyone's day.
