Hi friends and HAPPY Monday! We're back from Spring Break and so excited to share with you our trip to Scottsdale this past weekend. For those that have been reading Made with HAPPY, may remember that Made with HAPPY Girl (MWH Girl) has a guilty pleasure. She absolutely, adores to stay in hotels. I mean let get real, so do I... so we know the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
In any case, since this was her first spring break, we thought it would be fun to tell you about our weekend from a six year old, hotel obsessed perspective! Here it goes!Hi Everyone! This past week was my Spring Break from Kindergarten, and my parents told my little brother and I that we were planning a trip out to see our Uncle Brian, Auntie Beth, Uncle Justin, Auntie Erin and meet some new friends of my Daddy's in Arizona. I love going to Arizona. It is always so much fun playing with my family and this time was even more fun because we got to stay in a hotel! I LOVE HOTELS!!!! SQUEEEL! My Mommy says its the JW Marriot Phoenix Desert Ridge.
It is a really big hotel that looks very fancy when we drove up!We checked in and when we walked into our room, I knew we were at one of the most fun hotels ever. It was so big! (MWH Mom Note - We stayed in the Junior Suite, which was very large (1000 square feet) and had a small kitchenette and the sofa pulls out to a double bed.)The bed was so soft and I gave it the MWH Girl jump test. Two thumbs up for an awesome bed!!!They even have super cozy soft robes that I LOVE!!!! If you need me, I'll be here for a little while!Our balcony looked right onto the pool and play areas and was so big that I had my breakfast on there in the morning and had lots of fun coloring in the afternoons. Exploring the resort was lots of fun. Its really big and has lots of windows and of fun areas to sit and relax.
They have a fun trail through a bunch of different shaped cactus and trees that was fun exploring too. (MWH Mom Note - Botanical Cactus Garden)
You know what is really fun? They give all kids a ball when we checked in! So much fun playing with them around the hotel and especially at the pool! I got purple! They also have lots of fun games to play at the hotel! We played bean bag toss and ping pong! My Daddy throws the bean bag really far.
There is a big grassy area that was fun to run around, play kick ball, dance and have fun!
My favorite part of course was all the pools! We swam in all of them and had so much fun!!!! Look at this cool waterfall!!!! The pools were warm and definitely my favorite part! They have a lazy river that was so much fun floating around on a round innertube. We went around it a hundred times over the weekend and I wish we could go on it more!
They also had a really fun waterslide. My brother wasn't tall enough, but I WAS!!!! WAHOOO!!! I got to show my moves and go down backwards. tehehehehe... so fun!
There were lots of fun activities for kids around the pool including a duck race. My brother and I didn't win, but we cheered for our duckies!!! Quack, quack, quack! Oh yeah, you know what was waiting for us when we got back from the pool? Cookies and milk!!!! Its like this hotel knew I love cookies and milk! (MWH Mom - This hotel is so family friendly with so many great details like cookies and milk and because it was Easter weekend, had a ton of free activities like having the Easter Bunny tuck them in and Egg Hunts. Very impressive)
Thank you JW Marriot Desert Ridge for the fun weekend! I really hope my Mommy and Daddy stay here again because I had the best weekend ever!!!!
