This past week, I had the pleasure of flying out to Chicago to take part in a great event hosted by Delta Faucet Company.

The event was held at the Chicago Merchandise Mart. The first floor of the Mart is open to the public and is where the Delta Faucet Showroom is located.
We were given a tour of the impressive showroom and given a quick rundown of products and capabilities. Then we had some time to get our hands dirty clean and test out all the faucets. FUN!
All their faucets are so well designed and pretty, it makes sense that they are considered America's Innovation Leaders. After learning more about Delta® we walked a few shops down to The Chopping Block.
They hosted us in a cooking class with chef Gale Gand who you might remember from her Food Network Show Sweet Dreams.
The class was fabulous. We munched on a few appetizers, created by Gale and her team, and then it was time to make our own #HappiMess. Together with some other great bloggers, we made three dishes. First was this Pea and Garlic Hummus that is featured in Gale's new book "Lunch." DELICIOUS!!!
From there we went on to make all kinds of different Grill Cheese Sandwiches. P.S. My friend NYTrendyMom and I made the most incredible grill cheese of herbed goat cheese, muenster, fig spread and sliced figs. In my opinion, the best one of the day! 🙂
We then finished off with a great batch of gooey chocolate brownies. Look, its like the cover to my first cookbook... teheheh.
Chef Gale was awesome and so great at answering all our questions and sharing her stories of motherhood and cooking. Plus I was a little giddy when I saw her in real life after seeing her on Sweet Dreams all those years. Yes, I'm a Food Network junkie.
Added bonus... she's my height. I had heels on, so it looks like I'm towering over her! Shorties unite!

Such a great event and can't wait to create a few HappiMess 'es at home soon and sharing them with you all!
“Why do people treat mess like it’s a bad thing? It’s actually the evidence of a life well lived. When you’re out there making, creating, doing and playing, embrace your #HappiMess and let Delta kitchen and bath innovations help clean up so you can do it all again tomorrow.”
