Hi All! Do you all remember this little beauty I found at the thrift store for next to nothing?Well it had a small update that I'm super excited about.

I actually was loving the off white color that I found it in. The tope was a bit marked up so I had to paint it over. I had some semi-gloss lemon white paint left over from the laundry room makeover and so I decided to paint the top with just that color.Once I had that painted it gave it just enough of a brightness that I felt like the whole piece needed a coat of the paint. So all the hardware was removed, and a coat of the paint was added. LOVE!

Do you also remember when I told you here and here that I'm OBSESSED with gold? Well, when I moved it into my craft room/office, I decided I wanted to add a little something to the top of the dresser to give it a little more character. I decided on a gold stripes.Using a ruler and some painters tape, I taped off the top and painted in the stripes using the Martha Stewart Gold Satin Metallic Paint from Home Depot.I have to confess that the lighting in my office/craft room pretty much sucks and I couldn't for the life of me capture the beauty of the gold.An updated drawer pull and viola you have yourself a Gold Striped Furniture piece!
