Our favorite boy turned three this past weekend and we celebrated with a Superhero Birthday!
Ahhh... my sweet sweet boy!! I can hardly believe it.
He also happens to be the biggest Batman lover and all around superhero fan, so it was sort of a no brainer when coming up with a party theme.
We opted for a afternoon party with light snacks, drinks and cupcakes which was actually really nice not having to plan any large meals.I found this awesome backdrop at Oriental Trading Company and it was a huge hit at setting the superhero mood at our house.
I used a simple black and white stripped runner lined with all kinds of finger foods. Fun finger foods and sweets.
A simple blue velvet cupcake with yellow frosting and a free printable cupcake topper from Less than Perfect Life of Bliss. Easy peezy!
For each of the kids we had masks and simple capes we made (tutorial coming soon) to make each of them feel like they were a superhero for the day. One of the most fun parts of the party was the superhero training.
We made each of the kids their own superhero sword (tutorial here -- coming soon) and MWH Dad lead the mini-superheros in some fun. If I only had a video, you all would be cracking up!
It was s spectacular day filled with all kinds of HAPPY. All you can hope when planning a kids party.
