What Mothers Want for Mother’s Day

My idea of Mother’s Day pre-kids as compared to after becoming one is so different. There is something so romanticized about it all before you actually become a Mother.

I know I do not speak for every Mother, but for me, homemade cards, gifts and questionnaires like this are what make the day so special.

Especially when those kids say the darnedest things like my favorite drink is WINE. Eeeeekkk.

Mother’s Day Treasures

On my first Mother’s Day I had envisioned taking my daughter to the flower fields by my house and us walking through them getting pictures and having a magical day. Reality was that I had a fussy newborn baby that needed to be fed and napped and I was still wearing maternity clothes and it rained.

It was after that first Mother’s Day that I realized it was more about being thankful for what I had, not about the THINGS!

Treasured notes and cards are what warms my heart and make this day so special.
