    combine ingredients for pizza dip

Cream Cheese: This delicious appetizer is a cheese lover delight with a rich cream cheese base. Let the package of cream cheese come to room temperature. Softened cream cheese is easier to mix in preparation.

Cheese: For this recipe, we use three types of cheese. Mozzarella cheese (the ultimate pizza cheese), parmesan cheese, and cheddar cheese.

Seasoning: We're using a combination of dried oregano and dried basil. If Italian seasoning is more your jam, go for it!

Pizza Sauce: We're all about easy appetizers and for that, we recommend using your favorite marinara sauce or pizza sauce.

Pizza Toppings: This pepperoni dip recipe calls for pepperoni and no additional toppings to appease a large crowd. Feel free to add your favorite pizza toppings and make it your own.

Pizza Dough: For our recipe, the pizza crust is cooked right in with the cheesy dip using a premade dough. This is a great time to make your homemade pizza dough if that is more your jam.

    How To Make Pizza Dip

    1. Prepare: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
    2. Pizza Dough: Cut the dough into pieces to create pizza dough balls or garlic knots. Roll into a ball about 1 ½ inches in diameter. Place around the edge of the inside of the cast iron pan with a small amount of space in between.
    3. Mix Dip: In a medium bowl, add the package cream cheese, parmesan, mozzarella, and cheddar cheese. Blend with a hand mixer until completely combined. Then add the oregano and basil and blend again.
    4. Spread: Spread the cream cheese layer into the center of the cast iron pan until the mixture is touching the edges of the pizza dough balls. Pour the pizza sauce on top of the cream cheese mixture and spread with a spoon.
    5. Top: Sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella cheese on top of the pizza sauce, and add pepperoni slices to the top of the cheese. Mix the melted butter and garlic salt and baste the pizza dough balls with the garlic mixture. Save ½ for after baking.
    6. Bake: Bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until the garlic knots and cheese have browned nicely. Remove from the oven. Baste the garlic knots with the remaining garlic butter
    7. Serve: Serve and enjoy while warm!

    Pepperoni Pizza Dip Modifications

As with any recipe, there are always lots of different modifications you can make to a recipe to cater to your dietary needs or liking. Here are some modifications you may want to consider.

    blend pizza dip mixture

    Keto Pizza Dip

If you are looking to make this pizza dip keto or gluten-free, remove the garlic knots from the outside of the baking dish. The pizza dip alone is keto-friendly and gluten-free. If you are going to serve this easy pizza dip on its own, then we recommend having tortilla chips, baguette slices, bagel chips, pita chips, or even garlic bread beside it to enjoy!

top pizza dip mixture with cheese

    Vegetarian Pizza Dip

Of course, this meat lovers pizza dip can be made vegetarian easily by removing the pepperoni slices. Feel free to add all your favorite toppings including green peppers, black olives, green onions, red onion, and mushrooms.

    How to Store Pizza Dip

Store any remaining pizza dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator, where it stays fresh for three to four days. Reheat leftovers easily in the microwave.

We hope you enjoy this party dip as much as we enjoy creating it for you!

    Happy Appetizers!
