How to Play Tic Tac Toe?

As adults, we may have learned how to play tic tac toe as a child and so it seems embedded in us for this simple game.

What is important to remember is that children may not know how to play or the strategies.

Rules of Christmas Tic Tac Toe

Here are the rules on how to play tic tac toe.

There are two players in each game. Each player has their own identifying game pieces. In most cases, one marks with an "X" and the other with an "O". But any small items will work great.

The object of the game is to get three of your game pieces in a row either horizontally (side to side), vertically (up and down), or diagonally (corner to corner).

The tic tac toe board is played in a 3 x 3 box. The players each take turns making their mark on the game board. Each player should make a mark where they are either trying to line up their three marks in a row or defensively to block the other player from getting three in a row.

The player who gets the three in a row wins. When all squares are marked without a winner, then that is called a draw.
