I love Christmas bells! Swinging away on the top of churches early in the morning? It’s worth waking up so early to hear(as if I wasn’t already awake because of the kids!) I love living close enough to a church to hear it ringing out. It’s incredibly moving!

I think it’s because the Christmas bell kinda sets the tone for the whole holiday season. All their sweet jingles spread cheer! Love them! Ahhh the arrival of Christmas!

    Christmas Drawing for Kids

Drawing(even following a step-by-step tutorial) is a great way to encourage kids to express their creativity. They can decide which pieces to add or not. Which colors to make the bells? How big or small do they want them? There's actually a lot of choice involved.

Drawing also helps with all those fine motor skills! So that’s a win for you both! And since these are so easy to print and go, it’s the perfect group activity for kids with their parents or teachers.

In the classroom? Learn about shapes, shading, or perspective! Actually, you can do that at home too if you want. At home? Why not crank up the Christmas toons and really enjoy those end-of-the-year holidays?

    Simple Bell Drawing

Simple? Yep! Step-by-step? You bet! You know me! It’s all kid-friendly and fun over here! We’ve got super easy design elements and basic shapes.

Which is really a great way for kids to learn about drawing techniques in a relaxed and festive setting. It’s totally open to artists of all ages! That includes you too! Speaking about my own house, my kids LOVE all projects so much more when we do them together!

So let your families (or classrooms) come together! Share stories about Christmas Eve, the Christmas Tree, Christmas Ornaments, Christmas songs, and all things Christmas Celebration!

So, grab your drawing supplies, and fill your homes and classrooms with the joyful sound of Christmas bells through art. And you should totally YouTube some Christmas bells at the same time! That’s a pretty great idea!

So whether it’s hanging on a Christmas wreath, accompanying a sleigh, or simply adorning your festive drawings, each bell will go perfectly with all your holiday celebrations.

So, grab those art supplies, gather around, and let’s draw some Christmas joy together. Psss.... here are the drawing paper, and drawing pencils that we like to use.

    How to Draw Christmas Bells

How To Draw Bells For Christmas

Start by printing out the Free Christmas Bells Drawing Step-by-Step Guide at the bottom of the post. Follow along with a sheet of paper and pencil.

    Ribbon Bow

Step 1 Draw Front of Bow of Christmas Bell

Start by drawing a simple bow. The middle is a circle and then there are two rounded triangles off each side of the circle. Then draw a simple curved line matching the top of the bow curves inside the sides of the bow. This gives it dimension.

Step 2 Draw Tails of Bow for Christmas

Next, draw the ends of the bow with a W shape off the bottom of the bow.

    Body of the Bell

Step 3 Draw one Bell of Christmas

Draw a bell shape off the right end of the bow.

Step 4 Draw the Bottom of the Bell

Next steps... draw a small U shape off the bottom of your bell shape in the middle. Then draw a similar curved line as the bottom of your bell shape inside your bell. This will give you the bell look. Then draw a curved line outward off the bottom of your bell.

Step 5 Draw the Second Bell

Then draw another bell shape off the left end of the ribbon.

Step 6 Draw the Bottom of the Second Bell

Similar to step 4, draw a small U shape off the bottom of your bell shape on the left side in the middle. Then draw a similar curved line as the bottom of your bell shape inside your bell. This will give your bell some dimension. Then draw a curved line outward off the bottom of your bell.

    Holly Leaves

Step 7 Draw the Holly on the Christmas Bell

At the top of the bells, draw holly leave out each side of the bow. The outside of the holly is small curved lines that come together at a point.

Step 8 Drawing More Holly For Christmas Bells

Lastly, draw three small holly leaves around the top of the bow. Each with a line in the middle. Once you have your drawing how you like it, erase any extra lines. Then viola, you have a realistic jingle bell drawing.

    Christmas Bells Drawing Easy

The final step is to color in your Christmas Bells Drawing using your favorite coloring tools - crayons, colored pencils, markers, or even paints. We love the idea of making this into a watercolor illustration for the front of a greeting card!
