When you're looking for a modern Christmas wreath in all the fun colors you're decorating with this season, we have you covered.
Hello friends and Happy Holidays. I know it's been some time since you've heard from me on the blog, but my goal is for that to change. Been working on a number of fun projects and can't wait to share them with you all. The first of which is the new "Shop" We are so excited to be sharing that we've partnered with Amazon to bring you some of our favorite things. Head over and take a look.
It's hard to believe that Christmas has snuck up on us so quickly. I can hardly believe it. It seems like it was Summer yesterday. I don't know if this happens to you, but you pick how you want to decorate your house.
You pick out your color scheme and your style (traditional, modern, etc.) then you go to pull it all together and you can't quite find what you're looking for.
You all know that I love color. I love bright colors for Christmas and not just your traditional red and green. What has happened over the last couple of years is that while I haven't been able to find the wreath that I'm looking for, my door is wreathless. Well, that needed to change this year.
I am sharing this simple modern Christmas wreath with you so that you can now make it with whatever colors you are decorating your house this Christmas season.

How To Make a Modern Christmas Wreath

Start with cutting your first colored yarn into 2-2.5 foot pieces. This will depend on the size of your ring. I am using an eight-inch ring, so I cut my yarn to 2-foot pieces. For this project, I used 10 stands of yarn per color.
Tie one side of the yarn in a knot and then pulling the yarn tight, tie the other end of the yard in a knot as well, leaving the remaining yarn hanging off the end. Tie off the two colors you will have to go in one direction.
Next, you will start the other two colors but will weave each strand through the first two colors creating a weave. Tie the other end and let the remaining hang.
Once you have everything tied off, using your scissors, cut the bottoms of your yarn in a straight line. You may even need to iron out the yarn a bit.
Then using a scrap piece of yarn, tie a hanger.
And then hang it and love up on your super fun colorful modern Christmas wreath!
