Halloween Ghosts Buttercream Board
I’ve been trying to think of another time of year when we celebrate ghosts. And here in the United States, there isn’t one. Halloween is the time when we love all things spooky, scary, and a little bit horrifying.
That’s where this ghost buttercream board comes in! It’s not so horrifying really. Actually, it’s pretty cute. But it’s probably just the right level of spooky for the younger kids.
This is seriously the perfect easy party dessert! It’s super simple to make, it’s not too scary. And it’s oh so delicious. How much more perfect can you get?

The Ultimate Halloween Dessert Board
Have you heard of a charcuterie board? It’s pronounced shaar-koo-tr-ee? Weird right? Probably because it’s a French word and we would never have thought of saying it that way!
Either way, a charcuterie board is traditionally a spread of meats, cheeses, and crackers that is absolutely adorable. Since it first became popular, people have really run with it. There are so many ideas you can do on a charcuterie board! And of course, desserts have got to be one of the more popular ones!

What is a Frosting Board?
Now, for those of you unfamiliar with the viral butter boards trend, it's all about taking the traditional charcuterie board and replacing the meats and cheese board with sweet treats. Think of a frosting board as a dessert charcuterie board version of cream cheese boards but way more fun.
So for this ghostly frost board, you’ll surround your buttercream ghost with a mix of your favorite cookies. Shortbread cookies, animal crackers, Christmas cookies (why not?), or even a slice of pound cake cut into smaller chunks. There’s no right or wrong here – just treat your taste buds.
And here’s a helpful tip: for added aesthetics, opt for cookies and treats in different sizes and color schemes.
The best way to showcase your Halloween snack board? On a pretty serving tray or a wooden board. It's a sure-shot way to be the talk of the next party!
Get Crafty this Holiday Season
Who says crafts need to involve glue, paper, and glitter? Okay. I love those crafts too. But sometimes, it’s nice when crafts involve food! Maybe whip up this food while you do other crafts. Oooohhhh. Now there’s an idea!
So, what do you say? Ready to whisk up some October holiday frosting board fun? Grab your supplies and let’s get crafting with food!
The newest trend isn’t just about tasting good, but also about having fun while putting it together. It's the perfect dessert table for your next Halloween party, birthday party, baby shower, or just a sweet snack after last week's dinner.
