There is something sweet about a New Year's Eve celebration with children. The excitement, the ball drop, the party hats, and the New Year countdown are all a fun way to ring in the new year. So much fun for kids of all ages.
We love filling the evening with family new years eve activities as well as just activities for kids.
It's a great way to celebrate the past year and looking forward to a fresh start with the new year.

There are so many fun ways to celebrate New Year's Eve. We are big fans of a New Year's Eve celebration full of fun and HAPPY. Filling the celebration with fun traditions and new year’s eve activities for the whole family. Some fun new year’s eve ideas like new year’s eve movies for fun, creating a family time capsule, filling the house with scavenger hunt clues, fun new years eve games like a fun card game or board game, and of course our favorite are these New Years Eve Countdown Bags.
We have even turned the Christmas tree into a New Years' Eve Tree. Discussing new year’s resolutions are also great activity ideas for the whole fam.
Kids New Years Eve Countdown
What I love about any new year's eve celebration is the idea of watching the ball drop in times square and the act of counting down. It's a great idea for both younger kids and older kids (aka. adults) and gets everyone involved in the party.
The best part is if you are in different time zones from New York, you can have your watch time square and open the surprise bags or New years eve countdown bags each hour.

Different Ways to Countdown to New Years Eve

I love the idea of creating a fun interactive experience throughout the night. Keeps the kids engaged and can even help with those kids that might be at the right age to learn telling time. In the case they are younger than our time tellers, then simply write out the time on the clock.
