- Paracord Rope (Red, White, and Blue)
- Scissors
- Ruler (Optional)
Directions:
Once you have your colors of rope picked out, cut each piece of rope approximately a foot in length. That will yield a garland about 6 inches long.
Start by cutting approximately 10-20 foot long pieces of each color. You can always cut more after you determine how long you would like your garland. Then cut one long piece for the garland to hang on. I typically start with 3-4 foot long garlands.
Next, we are going to show you how to knot the rope around the garland. The first step is to Fold your smaller piece of rope in half.
Wrap the folded side of the rope around the hanging rope.
Tuck the ends of the rope into the loop.
Pull the ends tight.
Add the rope along your hanging rope in whatever order you want.
Viola, you have yourself one of the simplest ways to create a garland. Continue with each of the colors you have chosen. The finished product is so fun and colorful, it will add to any Patriotic BBQ!
