When it comes to parties, I’m kind of kookoo for Garlands. It can easily add color and flare to any festivities especially the 4th of July!
Are you or you kids into the next big bracelet phase – rope bracelets?
We’re busy over at Made with HAPPY making our way through making a few ourselves and hope to share with you some fun ones soon. Until then, the broad range of bright colors and textures had me yearning to create something fun for summer and what better than the 4th of July?
Supplies:
Directions:
Once you have your colors of rope picked out, cut each piece of rope approximately a foot in length. That will yield a garland about 6 inches long.Start by cutting approximately 10-20 foot long pieces of each color. You can always cut more after you determine how long you would like your garland. The way to loop the rope around the hanging rope (mine is white in this example) is as follows:
- Fold your piece of rope in half
- Wrap the folded side of the rope around the hanging rope.
- Tuck the ends of the rope into the loop and pull taught.
Viola, you have yourself one of the simplest ways to create a garland.Continue with each of the colors you have chosen. The finished product is so fun and colorful, it will add to any Patriotic BBQ!
