Easter Succulent Ideas
I don't know about your house, but at the first sign of flower buds, our house becomes all things Spring. The colors, the weather, and the flowers have my insides all giddy with excitement. You might remember the fun Flower Egg Pots we created last year. We had so much buzz around them, that this year we created these fun
Of course, you know I love myself the bright rainbow-colored plastic eggs, but these would be great in any of the extra eggs you have hanging around. The only thing I do need to remind you of is that the eggs you use should have some holes in the bottom.

These plastic eggs have holes in them and work best for this project. The holes allow for the water to drain out of the soil when you're watering them and will last you through Spring and beyond.
Succulent Egg Pots
The other tip I have is what succulents to buy for this project.
Here are some of our favorite succulents.
You really want to get the smallest succulents they have at the nursery. Its hard to see in this picture, but the pot is only about an inch or so in width and I broke this pot into three different egg pots.
The key is to buy small succulents, but also ones that can be separated into individuals. While I love the larger flower-looking succulents and the draping succulents, it's hard to separate them, and ultimately they won't fit in the egg pots. The smaller the succulent bud the better for this project.
Once you have those, you'll need a glue gun and scissors. Simply hot glue the ends of the eggs together, and plant your succulents.
You will want to make sure you place your succulent egg pots on a plate or platter. This is only for watering purposes. The water should drain out and I would hate for you to ruin a tablecloth or mantel. We are excited for you all the make these this Spring Craft and can't wait to see what you come up with.
