This fun dinosaur bingo game is all kinds of fun all year long! Whether it's for a dinosaur birthday or like me you have a dino-loving kid that loves playing with dinosaurs every day!
Dinosaurs will always be a fan favorite. If they can stand the test of time for thousands of years, then I'm sure they will be a source of fascination forever.
They are wonderful creatures that we've turned into an easy game that the whole family will love. Here are some of our favorite prehistoric friends that we're creating throughout our site! Dinosaur Fun
We have so many coloring pages, activity cards, and crafts to share. We love unique ideas and one-of-a-kind crafts but we always come back to tried and true activities that parents and kids love.
Bingo cards are the perfect game printable for an entire family. Bingo is a game and a great way for both big kids and little kids can play together in small groups. The rules are simple, and the fun is guaranteed.
We’ve got tons of different Bingo boards, but dinosaur bingo is one of our favorites. Our dinosaur bingo cards are adorable. You’re sure to have a roaring good time!

Dinosaur Bingo Game
Each dinosaur figure is colorful and instantly recognizable. You can practice teaching kids about all the different dinosaur names and their distinguishing features. They’ll love pointing out the long neck of the brontosaurus and the spikey back of the stegosaurus.
There are even a few fun words to practice phonics and reading. Words like boom, roar, and stomp will teach them all about onomatopoeias. (And they’re fun to say too!)
You can play this dinosaur bingo game with plain marker pieces or try different variations. To practice reading skills, write the name of each dinosaur or word on the marker piece. Kids can then match the name of the dinosaur with the correct picture.
Extend their learning by doing a little research on each dinosaur. Learn about their temperaments, diets, habitats, and other fun facts. Instead of simply calling out the name of each dinosaur, give them a few facts and see if they can determine the correct reptile.
For example, instead of calling out “triceratops,” you could say, “has three horns and was an herbivore.” See if they can find the correct square on the bingo board. This is a fun way to sneak a little learning into this activity.
Playing Printable Dinosaur Bingo
If they need a movement break, encourage them to get up by playing with dinosaurs. They can “fly” like a pterodactyl or stomp like a T-Rex. If they are really good at acting out each dinosaur, play dinosaur charades!
Our free printable dinosaur cards can be easily laminated. You can have your kiddos mark them up with any dry-erase marker, bingo dabbers, or dot markers. Then wipe them clean to be reused again and again.
Using these dinosaur bingo boards like a dry-erase board also helps limit lost bingo marker pieces. Instead of covering each square, players can simply mark squares with an “x.”
This bingo game is perfect for a birthday party, a holiday party, for classroom use, and generally a great family game. Kids love racing to see who can complete their board first.
Supplies For Dinosaur Bingo
This is similar to a regular bingo game in that you’ll need:
- Bingo cards – Grab the cards from the bottom of this post and download them. Remember one per person.
- Calling sheet – We have included the calling sheet with each of the dinosaur objects on them. Cut each out and throw them into a hat or bowl.
- Bingo chips – I recommend using something small like Dinosaur Gummie Candy, Mini Dinosaur Toys, Dinosaur Erasers, and Dinosaur Stickers.
- Prizes – I have put together a list of fun Dinosaur Themed prizes, also at the bottom of this post to get you started.
How to Play Dinosaur Bingo
Playing bingo is a fun game all year long. We store our bingo boards with our board games and then pull them out when we're looking for something fun to do.
Start by downloading your Dinosaur bingo cards. Once you have downloaded it, print the bingo cards out. One for each person.
Cut out bingo cards as well as all the bingo calling cards. Pass out the bingo cards place calling cards into a bowl or hat and mix them up.
Set the rules for each game.
Hand out candies, coins, or small items to mark the item that has been called.
Pull a calling card out and describe the player item -“Yellow Dinosaur”, “Roar”, etc.
Once the player has completed the set pattern, they yell “Bingo” and they win!

Few Different Types of Bingo Games You Can Play with your Jurassic Counters
- Classic Bingo Pattern – The classic game with four spots in a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
- Blackout – Fill in all spots on your bingo card. Note that we only have 16 calling card items and so every board will get a blackout with all cards.
- Patterns – Set a specific pattern (shapes, letters, or specific rows or columns)
