The beloved green gems of the produce aisle! An avocado is an exotic green fruit and is pear-shaped. They are packed with healthy fats, fiber, vitamins, and minerals, avocados are like nature's powerhouses, fueling our bodies with goodness. Plus, they're so versatile! Whether smashed into guacamole, sliced onto toast, or blended into a creamy smoothie, avocados add a delightful creaminess and flavor to any dish.

But avocados aren't just tasty, they have some fun facts about them. And you know we love fun facts! Did you know that avocados are technically berries? Yep, they belong to the berry family, along with other surprising members like tomatoes and bananas.

Avocados are also known for their unique ripening process. They start hard as a rock but gradually soften as they ripen. And let's not forget their rich history – avocados have been cultivated for thousands of years, dating back to ancient civilizations in Central and South America.

Wow... this green beauty is not only rich in nutrients but rich in history too. So let's get to this easy drawing of the beloved fruit!

Easy Avocado Drawing

Fun avocado sketch with a free printable step by step tutorial like this avocado drawing is a great way to learn to draw for kids of all ages. Simple shapes and curvy lines and nothing too complicated. Building skills

Until your budding artist starts to go for it, it's hard for them to realize how freeing it can be and how easy it can be to create something with your own hand. The best way to start is to just do it!

Before you start drawing, we also want to ensure you have the right tools. Here are the drawing paper, and drawing pencils we like to use.

How To Draw an Avocado

Star by grabbing the free printable avocado drawing lessons at the bottom of the page and following along.

The first simple step is to draw a pear shape.

The next step is to draw an inner line in a pear shape. On the right side, draw another line to make the inside shape match the outer parts. This should leave a bit to the right which will be the outside of the avocado.

Next, draw a circle towards the bottom for the seed of the avocado. Then draw a pear-shaped curved line between the previous two layers of the avocado giving it another layer.

Draw another small circle inside the seed to give the avocado dimension. Erase any extra lines you may have at this point and outline the correct ones in a darker pencil line, green pencil, or even with a marker. Viola, you have an Avocado Drawing!

The last step is to color in your avocado drawing using crayons, color pencils, or drawing markers. We like the idea of using four shades of green with the darker on the outside and making its way in through the layers. For the seed, we colored the outline a lighter brown and a darker brown for the full seed. This is your drawing, so get creative and color it how you prefer.

From here you can add a fun avocado pun or fun saying... like "I think you are avocadorable" or "Avoca-Don't Worry Be Happy."
