We are in love with how colorful this mason jar herb garden is. Spring is upon us and there is nothing sweeter than adding some greenery and bright colors to your space.

DIY Mason Jar Herb Garden
Hi friends and HAPPY Wednesday! Wow, what a crazy couple of weeks it has been. Lots going on over here as we're gearing up for a fun and fabulous year. We're excited about a few announcements this week on different projects and opportunities coming up as well as we're getting close to daylight savings time. That's a big one at our house, not sure about yours. Our family longs for the extra hour in the evenings!
While we patiently, or impatiently more like it, wait for spring to arrive, we've realized we are craving the bright colors of spring, so we pulled together a fun little mason jar garden for the table that I'm absolutely in love with them.
Seriously, how cute are these?
They are so simple to make and are so HAPPY, I may keep them up all year long. Okay, or as long as my blacky-greenish thumb can keep them alive.
Here's how I made my indoor herb garden.
Supplies For Mason Jar Planter
- Just a few pint size mason jars
- acrylic paint
- Painters tape
- small plant herbs
- potting soil
How to Make Herb Jars
Start off by taping off the jar about ⅓ of the way down your glass jar.
Paint them the bright colors you crave. We love the idea of bright colors, but any colors or no color is just as awesome.
Once its dried, tape the bottom and paint it gold.
Then its time to get your hands dirty.
With this project, I went with herb plants that are were already established. In the case the you are wanting to grow herbs from an herb seed. Simply grab your seed packets, fill the jar with potting mix and plant seeds.
Viola, you have yourself the brightest and happiest little fresh herb garden that will bring all kinds of HAPPY to any room.
