Submarine Fun
Submarines are fascinating underwater vessels that can travel deep beneath the ocean's surface, allowing people to explore places no human could reach otherwise. They are used for scientific research, military missions, and even underwater adventures!
Fun Fact: An underwater submarine can stay submerged for months at a time and can dive as deep as 800 feet or more. Some submarines have periscopes, which let them see above the water without surfacing. Also, there are three different types of submarines that help protect the country: ballistic missile submarines, attack submarines, and cruise missile submarines.
Kids will love learning that these incredible machines are designed to handle the high pressure of the deep ocean while silently gliding through the water! If you love submarines as much as we do, then check our our Submarine Craft.

How To Draw a Submarine
Start by printing out the free submarine drawing guide at the bottom of the post with simple steps to create your own submarine.
Start with an oval egg shape on its side in the middle of your page.
The next step is to draw a curved line following the same curve as the bottom curve. This is to the left side of the oval. This is the larger of the two ends of the egg shape. Next, add small dots along the curved line.
Periscope
Next, we're going to draw the periscope. Start with a small rectangle-like piece at the top of the submarine body shape. From there, draw a tube up out of the top and then curve it to the left with a curved end. Draw two horizontal lines (left to right) right before the turn of the periscope as a stripe as well as a curved line up from the curved end creating a circle-type tip to the periscope.
Portholes
The next step is to draw the windows on the submarine or as they are called, portholes. Draw three circles in the middle of the submarine body. Draw additional circles inside each circle giving it a window appearance.
Next, draw two fins off the back of the submarine.
Lastly, draw a propeller off the back of the submarine. Draw a long tube shape off the back and then a curved tube shape going up and down as the propellers.
The final step and one that we absolutely love is to color your submarine using your favorite crayons, colored pencils, or markers. There is a famous song "Yellow Submarine" so we went with yellow, but let your imagination run wild.
