This paper plate watermelon preschool craft is as fun and sweet as eating real watermelon! A fun summer craft for kids of all ages.
Summer is synonymous with school holidays, pool parties, and seasonal treats. Of all the yummy goodies of summer, watermelon slices are a hit with kids and adults alike. Refreshing, juicy, and full of flavor.
Since the love for these huge green-skinned melons is so strong, I'm sure the kids will love having a watermelon preschool craft day. There's so much you can do. I'll give you a few ideas. But making a fingerprint watermelon art is the easiest on the fun watermelon craft list. It's a great way to keep kids of all ages busy and entertained.
Why Do This Watermelon Craft?
This isn't your ordinary fun easy craft. This is your chance to improve your child's fine motor skills. When young children press their fingers onto paper to make a fingerprint design, they build strength in their hand muscles. This makes it easier for them to learn how to hold pencils, crayons, and scissors.
If you have older kids, tell them about the health benefits of juicy watermelons. Make some easy and fun watermelon recipes with them to boost their interest. You can also tell them about the fruit's origin, nutrition facts, and its popularity in different cultures.
