How to Make a Paper Plate Pumpkin Pie Craft
Let's get into the craft!
Gather your materials and cover your workspace and crafting table.
Encourage your child to rip the orange construction paper into small pieces. Let them have fun with it!
Cover the center of paper plate with a generous amount of glue and have your child start adding the ripped paper pieces.
Continue previous step and layering the ripped papers until you're satisfied with the thickness of the "pie".
If you do not wish to tear up the paper as the pie filling, you can also paint the inside of the paper plate with orange paint.
Cut small strips out of the brown cardstock paper.
Let your child glue it over the edges of the plate. This is the top crust of the "pie".
Use scissors to cut off the excess of the brown paper around the edge of the plate finishing off the pie crust.
Finish off by gluing a cotton ball or two to the middle of the top as the "whipped cream"!
*You can also use white pom poms.
Set aside to dry completely for the best results.
Isn't this the cutest pumpkin pie?! I love how this turns out and how easy it is. It's a great craft for parents to do at home with their kiddos or for teachers to try at school. How great would this look displayed on a Thanksgiving themed bulletin board?!
