Thanksgiving is a great time for the whole family. It is a time for the family to be together and for most, Thanksgiving gives the family a chance to just be together and thankful.

When I have the entire family over, I love making sure I have activities for all ages around as I prepare dinner. Whether it's Thanksgiving printables full of bingo games, coloring pages, or activities. These are great for all ages.

I also love the idea of having a number of Thanksgiving crafts for kids along with all the supplies like construction paper, brown paper bags, paper plates, and popsicle sticks. Crafts like this paper turkey and pilgrim hats. It helps to keep little ones' hands busy between the family football game and the long-awaited dinner.

Are you a fan of turkey crafts during Thanksgiving? We are around these parts. If I am being honest, real-life turkeys kind of scare me a bit. The kids and I love visiting local farms and some have turkeys walking around and they keep me on my toes.

But if you are talking kid's crafts, then I am one thousand here for all things turkey. There is something about those flare-worthy tails that makes me want to create a fun colorful tail. Of course, my kids are always asking for more Fall colors and actual colors of the turkey, but I will get my rainbow at some point 🙂

Colorful craft paper

How To Make a Paper Turkey

Cut out the pieces for the turkey from the PDF template.

Glue the wings on both sides of the body. Then, glue the wattle and beak on the face.

Glue the head with the body. Allow the glue to dry.

Meanwhile, fold and join the ends of the papers strips to create teardrop shapes.

First, take one piece of the tail and glue it on the middle of the turkey's back.

Then, glue rest of the pieces for the tail around the back.

Attached is the paper turkey to the popsicle stick.
